Everyone, at one point, nearly everyone on Instagram has been caught with the same problem: “Instagram Music isn’t available in your region.”

The latest Instagram craze is here, and it is here to hover. Almost everyone in our Stories section is taking advantage of the Music feature which can easily be added to our 24-hour posts.

We get it!

This new tool adds “spice” to our otherwise monotonous Instagram Stories as songs added come from a video variety of genres from any musician and performer worldwide.

Unfortunately, the novel feature is sometimes unavailable for some users, but we have a solution for that.

Instagram Music Isn’t Available in Your Region, But Why?

Through Instagram Music, you can add any song rendered in any language, regardless of the region of the world you come from.

Cool, isn’t it? It is!

It is also easy to integrate as the Music sticker is just located right along the section housing app’s other entertaining features such as Location Mention, Hashtag, Time, GIF, Poll, Temperature, Donation, Link, and Covid Vaccination stickers.

However, it has also become a source of big disappointment for others that they can’t find the Music sticker on their app.

There are many reasons for this, but mainly because Instagram has not yet rolled out this novel tool in your country.

This is mainly because of conflict with local regulations on licensing rights, as songs are subject to strict intellectual property rules.

How to Fix Instagram Music is Not Available in Your Region

Everyone else in your circle has it, but you don’t. You are not an isolated case.

There are hundreds and thousands of people complaining about losing or simply the unavailability of the Music sticker on the feature page.

Luckily, this is very easy to fix and there are many ways to do it.

1. Exiting the Instagram App

Suddenly, your Music sticker is missing while you have only used it the other day.

The quickest way to fix this problem is to exit your Instagram app and access it back again. Sometimes, features on the app fail to load, and exiting is a quick way to reload everything successfully.

This depends on the device you are using, but closing the app can normally just be done by hovering and swiping the app upwards to remove it from your opened pages.

After this, simply click on the app again and access the feature page. It is highly likely that Instagram Music is back right there.

2. Uninstalling and Reinstalling the Instagram App

There are instances when exiting the app does not help, and this requires a more complicated but still simple way to troubleshoot by uninstalling and reinstalling the app.

Delete the Instagram app from your phone. After successful deletion, click on your Google Play Store or App Store, depending on which device you are using.

On the search bar, type “Instagram,” this will redirect you to a page showing a downloadable version of the app. Click “install” to proceed.

Once the app has successfully installed, tap and enter your correct account information to log in.

Go to the feature page and look for the Music sticker and start adding any music you want.

How to Access Instagram Music from Any Region in 2 Minutes

If Instagram Music is still not working, this is the foolproof method.

Step 1. Choose a Fast VPN

I recommend NordVPN as it’s the industry-leading VPN. It’s super-fast and has servers in all Instagram music regions. NordVPN also has a free trial if you want to try it first.

Step 2. Uninstall Instagram

Step 3. Install NordVPN

Download and Install NordVPN.

Then connect to a server in the USA, UK, Canada, New Zealand, Australia, Germany, Sweden, or France.

Step 4. Reinstall Instagram

That’s it!

You’re done.

Instagram Music will now work from your region, or any region for that matter.

How to Add Music to Instagram Stories

Using the Music feature to spice up your Instagram Stories could be one of the easiest things you can do on the app.

Here is a guide you can follow:

Step 1. Go to the Instagram app and enter your correct account information. On the bottom part of the screen, click on the “+” icon and select “Story”

Step 2. Add a media you want to put on your story either a photo, video, boomerang, or anything that ticks your fancy for the day

Step 3. At the headline part of your screen, you will see a music note symbol. If this is not available, simply tap the square face icon

Step 4. Click on the sticker labeled “Music,” Upon landing on the music page, look for the song or artist you want to add to your Story.

Note that a visible sticker in the form of lyrics, icons, and album photos will be added to the media

Step 5. Since a single Story only lasts for a maximum of 15 seconds, adjust the song to the part you want to include.

single Story

This means that while a user can upload any song they want, the length will always be limited to a short period since this feature is catering to a short video audience

Step 6. Tap “Add” and Instagram will automatically integrate the song you have added to your Story.

When your friends view the post, they will hear the music you have added.

In selected cases, Instagram labels “this music is not available in your area” for songs that are not licensed to operate in your country of origin

A Trip Down Memory Lane on Instagram Music

Debunking one of today’s biggest misconceptions: Instagram Music is actually not a new feature.

It has initially rolled out in the app’s seven major markets from North America, Oceania, and Europe namely the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, France, Germany, and Sweden way back in 2018.

During such a period, users from regions uncovered by the rollout use a VPN for Instagram Music and third-party applications just to add music to their Stories.

It is not only recently that Instagram has increased its efforts to swiftly roll the talked-about toll in many parts of Asia, which is a bubbling market for the app.

Just a quick run-through there are more than 200 million users in the top three Asian countries with the highest number of Instagram audiences namely India, Indonesia, and Japan.

Today, nearly half a billion Stories are posted daily on Instagram, and many of these make use of music to enhance the creativity and entertainment value of their content.

Instagram Music’s unavailability in some regions comes from different reasons that range from simple to complicated in nature.

In some cases, the feature just failed to load upon clicking and exiting the app could show it again.

There are also instances when users need to uninstall and reinstall Instagram to update on the features one has access to.

Whatever the reason behind the hassle, troubleshooting using different methods is worth a try.

Find out what works for you and always be on the lookout for new information as Instagram Music is a fun way to upgrade your content and enhance your overall experience.
