Anyone who is involved in business and recruiting knows that LinkedIn is a vital piece of information sharing and lead generation; over the past few years, LinkedIn has claimed its spot as the top social media network for working professionals and B2B marketing.
Along with this reputation comes more and more users, which is ultimately creating a higher level of competition on the platform. Users want to develop their profile more quickly, adding endorsements and reaching out to more people who may be interested in their products or services.
The good news is that there are a lot of people using LinkedIn.
The bad news is that sometimes it can take a while to gain the necessary growth to see results. It takes time to engage with users, to make connections, to reply to communications, and hopefully see some type of benefit from all of that time.
It’s no surprise, then, that a variety of companies have emerged that claim to offer the LinkedIn growth that you need, mostly through automating engagements on the LinkedIn platform. Since engaging with new users and keeping your communications organized can be time-consuming, it’s an attractive option, but does it work?
One of these companies is known as We Connect; we’ve decided to write this We Connect review to see just how safe and feasible using LinkedIn automation is. Let’s get started.
How does it Work?
We Connect is an automation tool for LinkedIn that claims to close 10x more deals. That’s a lofty statement, isn’t it? How would they even know that their service helps users close more deals— based on what data? And 10x more? Already we’re very skeptical.
They say that they include 55+ features to help make you more productive. What exactly are those features? There was a list, but not all features are super unique, nor are all of them practical to use. And there weren’t 55.
In any case, the most advertised features of We Connect include the following:
- Campaign Manager: said to be rated the best of all the LinkedIn tools. Again, who is doing the rating? Never mentioned. The campaign manager basically automates services like sending messages, endorsing skills, viewing profiles, and following people.
- Smart Reply Management: This service is to see all messages in one place as well as a full conversation history.
- Reporting: it claims to allow you to view reports on performance with detailed report downloads, but doesn’t specify exactly what statistics you’ll be able to view.
It isn’t anything new when you take a look at other LinkedIn Automation services, and it definitely isn’t going to bring you 10x more closed sales. While it may be attractive to automate some LinkedIn features for ease of use and convenience, it’s not a good idea.

LinkedIn Automation is Not Allowed
We Connect mentions a variety of times that it is the “most safe” LinkedIn automation platform in the world. To be frank, it should be “the safest,” and this text is right at the top of their website. They need a copy editor.
Anyway, why would they mention it’s the “safest” if there is no problem with LinkedIn automation? They wouldn’t. The reason they mention it is because they know people are concerned about the way LinkedIn receives automation services, and they are trying to convince people that there’s no problem.
There is a big problem, however. LinkedIn has become very aware of companies trying to provide automation services for their platform, and they are not having it. They are not the first social media network to feel that way, and they won’t be the last.
We Connect wants you to think their service is somehow different from all the other automation services out there, but the truth is that they’re not. Automation is automation, period.
We Connect isn’t going to protect you if this happens, and to be honest, they don’t really care. They’re only worried about gaining your sale and filling their wallets. They know this service is against LinkedIn policy, and they continue to offer it.
LinkedIn is so strict about automation because of the nature of their platform; it is important for all social media networks to maintain their integrity and minimize spam and disruptive advertising and messaging.
LinkedIn is a professional business platform, so having spam and unwanted messages undermines the reputable nature of the platform.
LinkedIn will continue to battle against automation services and automation providers.
The pricing of We-Connect isn’t as expensive as some other automation services on the market, but that doesn’t mean that it’s a viable option or one that should be considered. They offer a free 14-day trial, and their pricing is at $49 a month.
This is suspicious, however, because if they supposedly offer so many services with such effective results, the best in the world according to them, why is it cheaper than their competitors?
Not only that if you pay for a year upfront they’ll give you two months free. Seems like they really want to get that big payment from you.
All in all, We Connect is nothing new— it’s a standard automation service that isn’t allowed by LinkedIn and should be used with extreme caution.
Using automation, while convenient in some ways, isn’t going to boost your close rate and it isn’t going to help your LinkedIn performance.
Automation hurts your LinkedIn, and We Connect isn’t going to help you if you run into trouble on the platform. Stick to other methods for reaching your leads and closing deals or recruitment.
