If you haven’t yet heard of TikTok, then you’ve probably had your head in the sand for the last couple of years.

TikTok has managed to do what Facebook and Instagram have also done over the last decade, and honestly, we believe that this is just the beginning.

It is definitely one of the most well-known social media sharing apps right now, with almost all of generation Z making dance videos and skits to entertain their followers.

What’s really interesting about TikTok is that it was developed in China by a man called Zhang Yiming, who is relatively private when it comes to interviews.

This means that there is not a lot known about the individual behind the app, but TikTok itself is known really well around the world.

How much is TikTok worth? Let’s take a look.

How Much is TikTok Worth in 2024?

Again, because TikTok is a pretty private company, it is hard to know exactly how much it’s worth. However, it’s easy to estimate its value.

Valuations of TikTok in 2020 put it at $50 billion.

There are some experts out there that claim this figure to be higher than this in 2023 and believe that it is sitting at $75 billion.

So, the bottom line with TikTok’s net worth is that it is at least $50 billion, and up to $75 billion.

TikTok Net Worth in 2024: $75 billion

It was founded back in 2012 and was originally called Musically.

This means that while Facebook and Instagram were doing really well, TikTok was slowly plodding along, not really garnering a lot of attention.

However, over the last couple of years, it has exploded in popularity, and we believe that it is going to become even more popular in the future.

ByteDance, which is the parent company of TikTok, is worth up to $425 billion.

If you know anything about TikTok you will know that it is a great platform to create short videos so that you can share them with your audience, or just with your friends.

It allows its users to make the most of a number of different features and filters, and anybody can create a TikTok video that can last up to 15 seconds.

You can put sound effects and clips over the video, and there are a number of different types of videos that are popular among TikTok users.

These include lip-syncing videos, and comedy skits.

TikTok’s Shareholders

Of course, when you have a company that is valued at this much and you’re think about how much TikTok is worth, you’ve got a lot of people that are interested in investing in it.

As a result, there are quite a number of TikTok shareholders that are prepared to invest in this highly profitable company.

These include Bank of China, Morgan Stanley, Goldman Sachs, Tiger Global Management, and others.

What Does TikTok’s Future Look Like?

Naturally, TikTok took full advantage of the COVID pandemic, and in the first quarter of 2020 alone, it was downloaded over 300 million times.

Currently, it has more active monthly users than Twitter and Snapchat. One of the biggest things that is getting in the way of the success of TikTok is the American government.

This is because the American government has attempted to ban the app in the states, over factors like security issues.

At one point there was a deal for Oracle and Walmart to take over the American operations of the social media sharing app, but this deal hasn’t gone through yet.

If it ended up falling through, then TikTok would have to find another avenue to access the American market.

This means that TikTok still has a long way before it can hit profit numbers like Apple.

However, it is still showing a lot of promise with how many people are signed up to the app around the world, and as more people download it as the days go by, we don’t think that its net worth is going to decrease.

In fact, we only see it increasing in the future as we consider today how much TikTok is worth.
