WeWork, an office-space provider, says that it is now taking certain types of cryptocurrency as payment. WeWork said in its press release that Coinbase will be the first membership company that can use cryptocurrency as their form of payment for their membership.

They said that it is also going to keep the tokens on its balance sheet, and pay third-party affiliates and landlords in cryptocurrencies through Coinbase.

WeWork is officially accepting Bitcoin, Ethereum, Paxos Standard, and a number of other popular cryptocurrencies.

CEO of BitPay, Stephen Pair, said, “WeWork is giving their customers an innovative payment option that is cheaper and easier than credit cards, and taps a community valued at over $2 trillion.”

WeWork says that they plan to debut in New York soon. Coinbase, the largest cryptocurrency exchange platform in the market currently, made its debut on Nasdaq just last week.
