Olympia Financial Forgets About Bitcoin Custody Plans

Last Updated on June 6, 2021 by Jason

Olympia Financial, a trust company based in Canada, says that it is forgetting about its plans to provide a custody Bitcoin service for its customers, claiming ‘internal risk appetite due to current market conditions’.

Olympia said that the agreement was ended that it had only just announced with Knox Capital. When Olympia made the announcement, Bitcoin was worth more than $50,000, but in May it started decreasing in value, and is now trading at approximately $37,000 after a low of $30,000.

Elon Musk also suggested strained relations when he tweeted the broken heart emoji, insinuating that he is breaking up with the popular cryptocurrency.
