Greenidge Generation says that it is going to expand Bitcoin mining by including a factory in South Carolina. It currently has one operating in New York.

The site being used was a printing plant, and will begin in early 2022. The company said that it is dedicated to ‘environmental leadership’ in crypto operations, and the majority of the electricity is going to be taken from carbon zero sources, including nuclear power.

The site will be leased to LSC Communications, which is a subsidiary of Atlas Holdings. Jeff Kirt, CEO, said, “This is an important step in Greenidge’s strategy to build upon our unique expertise in environmentally sound Bitcoin mining at additional locations across the country.”
